The San Antonio Spurs cruised to another rout of the back-to-back defending champion Miami Heat, 104-87, in Game Five to clinch their fifth NBA title in franchise history.
The Spurs, whose four wins came at an average margin of 18 points, closed out the series, 4-1, in front of their own home crowd.
Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Manu Ginobili and Patty Mills, who hit five three-pointers in the game, came off the bench to score 19 and 17, respectively.
Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) star Ramon Fernandez sees nothing wrong with Manny Pacquiao trying his hand at coaching in Asia’s first play-for-pay hoops league.

East Asia’s Japan along with South Asia champions India and South East Asia’s Indonesia join Iran and China in Group A.

The San Antonio Spurs but a thumping on the Miami on Tuesday night, giving the Heat their first home loss of the 2014 NBA Playoffs while taking a 2-1 series lead with a dominating win, 111-92.
San Antonio's first half was a history-making affair. The Spurs scored 71 points on their way to the best shooting performance at 75.8 percent, setting a Finals record for shooting in a half. Kawhi Leonard was everywhere, scoring a career-high 16 points on 5-of-5 shooting in the first quarter alone.
But the Heat came roaring back, playing tough defense throughout the third period. Miami made a big push even as LeBron James sat on the bench, allowing the Spurs to score just 15 points as coach Erik Spoelstra sat struggling guard Mario Chalmers.

Filipino fans could soon be getting their first look at NBA player Andray Blatche, the Philippine national men’s basketball team’s most recent addition, as the big man is reportedly on his way to the country.
Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes said on his Twitter account that Blatche, whose naturalization has already been approved by both chambers of Congress and is merely awaiting the signature of President Benigno Aquino III for the measure to be enacted into law, is already on a plane headed here and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning.

The 2014 NBA Finals is the championship series of the 2013–14 season of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. This series will feature the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat versus the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs. This will be a rematch of the previous year's finals, where Miami won in seven games, and thus, handing the Spurs their only Finals defeat.
